Before Installation

Would it fit into existing plumbing fixtures?
Australian Standard sizes for shower breeches are 150mm (6") and 200mm (8"), and for the bath, it’s normally 300mm (12").
Quoss shower products in basic model cover up to 265mm and Quoss Reno Liberty, Freedom and Cobra mixers cover up
to 320mm. However, Quoss Reno series cover up most of sizes with a different combination of fitting and mixer, in case
of any outer size, please contact us to get the longer fitting or longer mixer. Please refer to Fitting Table on our website
       for more information.

The distance between two shower handles is 320mm centre to centre. Can I still install Reno shower?
Yes, please contact us to get 200mm mixer with a standard fitting QF35 which covers up to 320mm. Where the distance is over
320mm, we can supply 200mm mixer with longer fittings QF35L. Thus the maximum distance coverage is 360mm.
       (refer to Fitting Table )

Do I need to do waterproofing?
No, you don’t need to do waterproofing because there is no need of plumbing works at all in installing Reno Transformer series.
Reno Series allow you to use existing plumbing fixtures and neither ripping tiles nor opening the wall is necessary.
       Therefore, no waterproofing is required.

Can I install the Quoss Reno Shower for the vertical handles?
Yes, you can apply it to the vertical position too. However, Sunflower rain shower cannot be installed vertically.
Thermo shower needs to be installed in the corresponding way; left inlet to the hot water outlet and right inlet
to the cold water outlet. Otherwise, it would not work.

Our kitchen tap is mounted not on the sink but on the wall, do you have any products for replacing this?
Yes, you can apply Quoss Reno Freedom or Cobra in the case of wall mounted kitchen tap.

For Gravity Set (Solar Hot Water System)
  - In some cases the hot water system has a separate tap. Thus you may need to shut down the hot water supply separately in
addition to closing of the main water supply before installation.
       - You should be aware that the cold water pressure is much greater than hot water pressure under gravity set, therefore we
recommend you to half close the main supply of cold water and fully open the hot water after installation

During Installation

Do I have to remove the spindle from the existing tap?
Yes. A ceramic disk cartridge is equipped in the mixer, thus you should remove it necessarily prior to installation of our products.

When I removed the existing taps, I found I have a different thread size of pipe from the wall.
We have a variety of fittings such as 5/8" in-wall recess tee fittings, deeper extension set for the deeper case and 1/2" Male and Female
fittings for wall mounted Pillar/Bib taps. Please contact us to get the right one.
       (refer to Fittings Table)

Note: If you want to install Thermo range to Pillar/Bip taps, only 1/2" Male fittings are available which means that having
1/2” female outlets from the wall is essential to apply Thermo range for replacing pillar/Bib taps.

Leaking due to damaged or cracked seat of shower recess tee.
If one of the seats is damaged, make sure to apply a Teflon tape on both BP19 (shower head/spout outlet) and the thread
part of the fittings. However, if both of the seats are damaged, please use re-seater on either one and do the same thing
       described in the previous sentence.

When I install Quoss Reno products such as Liberty or Freedom, what should I do with an old outlet of spout on the wall.
Both the Cover cap and the flange are provided with the product.

For the basin tap and kitchen taps, what can I do for the holes where the old tap handles used to be?
A metal plate and 2-hole cover caps are included with basin mixer. We recommend using cover cap rather than plate.
When you install the cover cap, apply bathroom silicon under the rubber washer before putting the cap on it.
The plate is not provided with kitchen sink products.

If cold flexible hose connector does not fit into existing basin tap hole
Disassemble the lower part of the Reno Basin mixer then disassemble the flexible hose (blue colour) from the mixer body.
Insert the flexible hose (blue colour) from underneath of Basin tap hole and assemble the hose to the mixer body again.
Reassemble the lower part of the Reno Basin mixer.

If you find that your old basin or kitchen tap is connected to the wall with seamless copper pipe and you don't have
any thread outlet from the wall to plug in flexible hose at all.

It can be solved quite easily.
Use a Mini-cutter or any metal Saw to cut the copper tubes coming out from the wall, then insert the Compression Union
Male 15C x 15MI Nylon/Copper Olive to the end of the copper tube and then fasten it. And now connect the flexible hose.
You can get a Compression Union Male or mini-cutter from any hardware stores.

After Installation

After Installation of Quoss Reno Transformer Series, hot water does not come out and only cold water comes out from
all other taps  in the house. Or only hot or luke warm water comes out.

It is 100% from the 'CROSS CONNECTION’ between hot water and cold water and the pressure of the cold water surpasses
the pressure of hot water. Or rarely vice versa. If cross connection happens, then you can see the water coming out from the
hose cock(BP19) where the old shower head or spout used to be, after installation of the mixer. Therefore you can check if
the cross connection happens in the middle of installation and prevent it beforehand.

      Possible causes of cross connection:
        1. You did not tighten the inner cylinder of the crank connector fitting with a hex key(Allen key)
☞ Wrong installation. Please read our installation guide carefully again and tighten the inner cylinder of the crank connector with hex key provided and make sure it hits the very end.

        2. You tightened it too hard until the rubber pack on the tip of the crank fitting got damaged or damaged rubber pack included.
☞ Contact us to get a new rubber pack and re-install and tighten it until it hits the very end.

        3. Your in-wall recess tee locates too deep from the wall so the rubber pack of the cylinder cannot be reached the very end
           (recess tee seat)
☞ Connect the deeper extension set (included in the fitting box) and re-install it. Refer to installation guide.

        4. The seat of your recess tee is cracked or damaged or not-leveled and there could possibly be some leaking in between the
seat and the rubber pack of the cylinder tip.
☞ Use tap re-seater which is available at hardware stores and re-install.

After Installation of Quoss Reno Transformer Series, the water pressure has been reduced to remarkably weak or no water
       comes out.

A water saver could be clogged up with any debris or dirt or rubber washer. It is equipped in a mixer body.
You can take it out by spanner or Allan key and clean it and then put it back. Please contact us to get advice.
If you find that the rubber washer is squeezed and blocks the water flow then replace it.
